Y2 children have now finished their SAT tests and all went very well. The tests were a fair reflection of the new curriculum and the children were not upset in any way by the formal approach, as it forms a normal part of our school timetable. Teachers are now meeting to discuss the outcomes and will use these to inform their final teacher assessments.
Some children have taken part in a Soltan competition organised by Boots. They wrote adventure stories and have the chance of winning a day bringing their adventure to life. The real reason for doing the competition was to heighten awareness of the dangers of excessive exposure to the sun and to encourage the children to use sun protection in the form of cream and sensible clothing.
